Jessica Taylor is a digital political reporter with "The Daily Rundown," NBCNews.com and the NBC Political Unit. Prior to joining the network in April 2013, she was a senior analyst/reporter at the non-partisan Rothenberg Political Report, where she covered House, Senate, and gubernatorial races as well as the 2012 presidential contest.

On Election Night 2012, Jessica served as an off-air analyst for CBS News in New York City, advising producers and reporters on House and Senate races.

Previously, Jessica was editor of National Journal's House Race Hotline, a comprehensive summary of news, polls and political data on all 435 Congressional races and wrote a twice-monthly column for National Journal Daily.

Jessica was also formerly Assistant Editor for POLITICO's 2010 page and the research director for "The Almanac of American Politics."

Jessica is based in the Washington, D.C., NBC bureau and lives in Arlington, Va. She is originally from Elizabethton, Tenn., and graduated with honors from Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
